Away With Geese features an amber 360° solar-powered light that flashes every two seconds, all night, year-round at eye-level of the geese. The light is scarcely noticeable to humans but very disruptive to the sleep of geese, causing them to no longer feel secure in that area. Industrial Unit – $499
Recommended for use in public areas such as commercial parks, industrial areas, athletic fields, schools and parks, where theft of the unit is a concern. It builds on the success of the residential unit with the added security of a steel auger that twists into the ground to avert theft.
Industrial Cage – $449
For certain applications, where added security is necessary, this heavy-duty steel Industrial Cage protects the Industrial Unit. The cage is mounted over and locked to the Industrial Unit so the unit is simultaneously protected from theft and harm.
Water Unit – $539
The floating water unit is recommended for lakes, ponds, retention areas, and any waterway where unwanted geese are a problem. The unit can stay in water year-round, even when it freezes over. It’s specially-designed base displaces water for maximum stability despite any strong winds or choppy conditions. There has never been a single report of any of these units tipping over. 5lbs of added ballast keeps the unit weighted and a built-in eyebolt keeps it localized when tethered to a cinder block. With a recommended 10’ of slack in the line, this unit can float in small, circular area, when moved by wind or current. The movement also adds an additional level of deterrence for the geese.
Dock Unit – $529
Recommended for docks where geese congregate, and to control geese on land and water immediately around the dock. Ideal solution for marinas and cottagers. Quick and simple installation; Unit easily inserts into galvanized steel dock bracket that is bolted to side of dock. Additional dock brackets can be purchased so you can change the location of the dock unit between different areas of the dock which adds an additional level of deterrence.
Rooftop Unit – $599
Recommended for use on flat rooftops of commercial buildings where Canada Geese often reside to feel safe from predators. A wide and weighted base safely secures it in place, without penetrating or harming the rooftop. This unit gets rid of geese and the abundance of feathers and highly toxic fecal matter that clogs drains, creates leaks, and ruins rooftops. Installation is quick and simple; just unscrew cap, pour sand into opening (sand not included) and screw cap back in place. Then insert light which fits securely at top of base opening.
Residential Unit – $479
The original unit is designed to rid private lawns, fields, and gardens of unwanted geese, taking only seconds to install and easily moved, if so desired.

Blind Spots
Some ponds may have inlets or bays where geese can hide in the edges of the pond. In order to have the light reach these areas, special care must be taken when placing the Away With Geese unit so that hidden areas of the pond are within line-of-sight.

Mother geese will not forsake their goslings under any circumstances. However, after thirteen to fourteen weeks the goslings are weaned of their mother and capable of flight. At this point, Away With Geese will deter both the mother and the developed goslings.
The answer to this is a simple ‘no’. The light emits an amber light that is hardly noticeable to people. However, it is extremely unnerving to geese, as they have excellent and extremely sensitive eyesight, and choose to not reside by a consistent annoyance. Otherwise, the device is visually very unassuming; the base and housing are simple and blend in very well in the natural environment.
